Remedial works following damp ingress

C W Johnson Limited Chartered Surveyors are pleased to have been instructed to prepare specification and tender documents for remedial works to attend to wide spread damp ingress and movement to a domestic property in East Norfolk. The damp ingress has caused dampness and damage to the walls and floor construction. We initially visited site to carry out investigations to establish the extent of the damage, followed by a full specification and tender process to appoint a competent contractor to attend to the works. Careful liaison with structural engineers and damp proofing specialists was required to ensure the works were appropriate.

Land Registry Compliant Title Plan for Boundary Dispute

C W Johnson Limited Chartered Surveyors are pleased to have been instructed in the preparation of a Land Registry compliance plan to establish a proposed boundary as part of an ongoing discussion between neighbors. The site required the involvement of a topographical survey to identify the existing site features and proposed boundary marked with timber stakes. From this data captured we produced a proposed drawing for a suggested boundary position.

Insurance claim for water ingress

C W Johnson Limited Chartered Surveyors are pleased to have been instructed to carry out remedial works following some unfortunate water entry to the lower ground floor of a domestic property near Norwich. The water ingress caused extensive dampness and damage to the walls and floor construction. We initially visited site to carry out intrusive investigations to establish the extent of the damage, followed by a full specification and tender process to appoint a competent contractor to attend to the works. Careful liaison with the insurance approved loss adjuster was required to ensure the works were appropriate to the wording of the insurance policy, but the project also included some upgrade works, the costs of which were met directly by the Client. We were pleased to act in the capacity of Contract Administrator to work alongside the Client, Contractor and Insurers to rectify the works with the project now complete and the property returned to the Client.
